What information should I send before requesting a quotation?
Send the intended application, maximum normal load or storage unit, dimensions, working environment, quantity, destination and required delivery date. Forklift inquiries should also include lift height, aisle and duty cycle; racking inquiries need a building plan and pallet data.
Are prices shown on marketplace listings binding?
No. A marketplace price may represent a base model, component, promotional tier or incomplete configuration. Only a written quotation that identifies the exact model, options, trade term and validity period should be used for purchasing.
What does MOQ mean for warehouse equipment?
MOQ is the minimum order quantity accepted for a stated offer. It can differ by model, customization, mixed-container plan and spare-parts scope, so it must be confirmed in the quotation rather than copied from a public listing.
How should I compare quotations from different suppliers?
Normalize capacity, dimensions, mast or structure, battery, charger, tires, attachments, documents, warranty, packing, lead time and Incoterm in one table. Prices are comparable only after the technical and commercial scope matches.
Does a supplier badge prove that the seller owns the factory?
No. A platform badge can support due diligence, but the verification scope must be read carefully. Match the legal entity, production address, quotation, bank beneficiary and actual manufacturing role before approval.
Should the first order be a sample or a full container?
Use a pilot order when product fit, service capability or supplier evidence is not yet proven. The correct size depends on freight economics, inspection access, customization risk and how quickly local feedback can be collected.
Electric forklifts and stackers

Is rated capacity enough to select an electric forklift?
No. Rated capacity is tied to a stated load center and configuration. Load dimensions, lift height, mast, attachment weight and forward load center can reduce the residual capacity available in the real application.
How do I choose between a 2 ton and 2.5 ton electric forklift?
Compare both trucks against the same load, load center, lift height and attachment. Choose the larger rating only when it provides useful residual-capacity margin without creating unacceptable aisle, floor, charging or cost constraints.
What mast information must be confirmed?
Confirm maximum fork height, mast type, lowered mast height, free lift, overall height when extended and the residual-capacity chart. Doorways, containers, mezzanines and overhead services can be as important as rack height.
How much aisle width does a forklift need?
It depends on truck dimensions, turning radius, pallet size, load orientation and required safety clearance. Provide an actual layout and ask for the model-specific stacking aisle value rather than using a generic rule.
When is an electric stacker better than a counterbalance forklift?
A stacker can suit indoor pallet work with controlled floors, shorter travel and tighter space. A counterbalance forklift is generally more flexible for loading, mixed routes and freestanding loads, subject to the selected configuration.
Can a side shifter or fork positioner be added to any model?
Not automatically. Confirm carriage class, hydraulic functions, attachment weight, load-center change, visibility, overall width and residual-capacity derating for the exact truck and mast.
Batteries and charging

Should I choose lithium or lead-acid batteries?
Choose from shift pattern, charging opportunities, maintenance capability, temperature, electrical infrastructure and total ownership cost. Lithium can simplify opportunity charging, while lead-acid may suit sites with established battery-room procedures.
How long will an electric forklift battery run?
Runtime cannot be confirmed from voltage alone. It depends on amp-hour capacity, load, travel, lift frequency, gradients, temperature, accessories and usable depth of discharge. Provide a duty profile for a meaningful estimate.
Can lithium batteries be charged during breaks?
Many systems support opportunity charging, but the battery, BMS and charger must be designed for it. Confirm the supplier's charging procedure, connector, current limits and warranty conditions for the offered system.
What charger information should be included in the quotation?
Require charger model, input voltage and frequency, phase, plug or connection method, charging current, estimated charge time, communication compatibility and applicable documentation.
What should a battery warranty state?
It should identify the battery model and serial record, coverage period or cycle basis, capacity threshold where relevant, operating exclusions, temperature limits, charging requirements and responsibility for diagnosis, parts and freight.
Does cold storage require a special electric forklift configuration?
Often yes. Low temperature can affect battery output, displays, seals, lubrication, condensation control and corrosion protection. State the minimum temperature, exposure duration and charging location in the RFQ.
Racking and mezzanine systems

Can racking be quoted from warehouse length and width only?
Only as a rough concept. A usable design also needs pallet and load data, building clear height, column grid, slab information, fire routes, handling equipment, storage targets and the applicable design basis.
How do I choose selective or drive-in pallet racking?
Selective racking prioritizes direct access and SKU flexibility. Drive-in racking can increase density for suitable batch inventory but reduces selectivity and requires the forklift to enter the rack lane.
Why is racking normally project-priced instead of unit-priced?
The final scope depends on bay geometry, load, steel sections, bracing, guards, decking, coating, seismic or local design requirements, packing and installation. A component price cannot represent the engineered project.
What load-capacity evidence should I request for racking?
Request the approved layout, design basis, load table, material and section data, calculation or engineering record where required, fabrication drawings and installation tolerances for the contracted configuration.
What information is required for a steel mezzanine quotation?
Provide layout, clear heights, uniform and concentrated loads, equipment loads, column constraints, stairs, handrails, pallet gates, deck type, fire interfaces, local code requirements and installation scope.
Can racking or mezzanines be installed by a local team?
Often yes, but responsibilities must be written. Confirm approved drawings, labels, bolt and anchor specifications, tolerances, inspection points, site supervision, local engineering obligations and final acceptance records.

What certification documents can be supplied?
Availability depends on product, model and destination. Ask for readable copies identifying the issuing body, applicant or manufacturer, model scope, standard and validity, then verify that they cover the ordered configuration.
Does a CE mark prove that every configuration is compliant?
No. A mark or generic certificate does not by itself prove the scope of a specific order. Review the declaration and supporting documents for the exact model, options and destination requirements.
What factory and quality-control evidence should I request?
Request current, traceable media showing the relevant production process, incoming or in-process checks, functional inspection, serial or order identity, packing and loading. Marketing artwork alone is not production evidence.
What should a pre-shipment inspection cover?
The scope should match the product. For powered equipment it may include identity, appearance, safety labels, ordered options and functional tests. Storage systems require quantity, dimensions, components, finish, markings and packing checks.
Why should inspection records include serial or order numbers?
Traceable identity connects the inspection to the goods being shipped. Without it, a checklist or video may describe a sample or another production batch rather than the contracted equipment.
Can AI-generated supplier artwork be used as technical evidence?
It can communicate features or applications, but it is not proof of the final product, factory, certificate or performance. Technical decisions must rely on approved documents, identifiable product media and inspection records.
Delivery, warranty and after-sales

How is production lead time confirmed?
Lead time should begin from a defined event such as deposit receipt and approval of technical or artwork files. The quotation should distinguish production, inspection, packing and estimated dispatch readiness.
How many forklifts fit in a container?
The number depends on exact dimensions, mast or overhead-guard removal, battery transport, packing method, mixed models and carrier rules. Request a model-specific packing list and container loading plan.
What packaging information should be included?
Ask for packed dimensions, gross and net weight, packing materials, removed components, moisture and corrosion protection, lashing method, accessory inventory and package or machine identification.
What spare parts should be ordered with the first shipment?
Build an opening kit from the exact models, quantity, duty and local service capability. Request the supplier's recommended list with part numbers, quantities, prices and compatibility, then prioritize wear and downtime-critical items.
What should the equipment warranty clarify?
It should state coverage period, start date, covered systems, exclusions, maintenance conditions, claim evidence, diagnosis process and responsibility for replacement parts, labor and international freight.
How are warranty claims normally handled across borders?
A useful process records model, serial number, operating hours, fault description, diagnostic code, photos or video and maintenance history. The supplier should provide a response path and written remedy responsibilities.
